About
Rooted in the poetry of grief, joy, and transformation, my work grows out of a daily drawing and writing practice that approaches the world with curiosity. I often explore ideas related to non-duality using abstraction and color as guides. Through gesture, mark-making, and an enduring devotion to color, I search for the plane that straddles the physical and the spiritual.
Bio
Kirsten Hemrich is an award-winning artist and poet based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally. She occasionally takes on curatorial projects for corporate collections and arts organizations, where she explores the intersection of contemporary art and community engagement.
